The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., delivers support and services that help youth achieve their educational goals. By supporting positive experiences, fostering a positive self-perception and self-respect, encouraging excellence in education, and promoting the pursuit of positive lifelong goals, NCBW is creating future leaders.
Annually, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Richmond Metropolitan Area Chapter, Inc. (NCBW RMAC) offers multiple scholarships to young women enrolled in institutions of higher education in the Richmond Virginia area. Scholarships are based on merit, community involvement, and academic worthiness. These scholarships, given in support of attendance at HBCUs, Virginia Union University and Virginia State University, are awarded during our signature fundraising event held each April. Proceeds from the event are used to support these awards. Since the charter of the NCBW RMAC in 2015, we have provided in excess of $60,000 in scholarships to over twenty-eight (28) young female college students.
