February 25, 2026 – NCBW-RMAC partners with the Pauley Heart Center
NCBW-RMAC partners with the Pauley Heart Center to support heart health in the black community. Held at the VCU Health Hub on 25th St., Richmond, the event featured heart health educators who shared cardiovascular disease prevention tips, including how to eat healthy, exercise, and reduce high blood pressure.
Other participants included: The Richmond Ambulance Authority, Richmond Fire Department, The Mended Hearts, Inc., VCU Health Transplant and Stroke Teams, and VCU Health Community Engagement Teams. Over 100 residents from the Church Hill neighborhood participated. This type of programming is essential for residents in this area, where people live up to 20 years fewer than in areas of the city just a few miles away.

Sisterhood Weekend brought NCBW RMAC members and prospective members together
Sisterhood Weekend brought NCBW‑RMAC members and prospective members together to bond, learn, and worship as one powerful community.
We kicked off the weekend with an inspiring visit to the Giants exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, featuring 130 dynamic works by 40 Black artists from around the world.
Day 2 centered on our results‑driven chapter meeting, where we focused on impact and purpose. We wrapped up the weekend in worship at St. Peter Baptist Church, uplifted by a special message from Dr. Makola M. Abdullah, President of Virginia State University.
A beautiful weekend of sisterhood, culture, leadership, and shared vision.
February 10, 2026 – Virginia Legislation Day
NCBW RMAC, Prince William and Northern Virginia chapters gathered during 2026 Virginia Legislative Day
On February 10th, over 50 NCBW Sisters from the Richmond, Prince William County, and Northern Virginia chapters visited
the General Assembly for their annual Legislative Day.
Sisters met with over a dozen legislators to advocate for legislation aimed at reducing evictions, providing affordable childcare,
and eliminating the trafficking of women and girls.
Thank you to Delegate Luke Torian and his staff for organizing an amazing day!
January 16, 2026 – 48th Annual MLK Day Celebration
Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his life to advancing civil rights, social justice, and equality for all people, championing a vision of a nation where character, compassion, and courage guide our collective progress. The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. advocates for equality as well, particularly for brown women and girls.
Pictured here are several members of NCBW-RMAC attending the 2026 breakfast celebration in honor of Dr. King.
December 20, 2025 – NCBW RMAC accepted the “100 Boots on the Ground” challenge
NCBW‑RMAC believes service creates lasting change. This winter, our members accepted the “100 Boots on the Ground” challenge—donating 100 pairs of boots to support girls in our community.
Thanks to our partnership with Katie’s Soles, these boots reached local students and even supported a Chesterfield family recovering from a devastating house fire. Our donation made an immediate and meaningful impact.
Proud to continue uplifting our community through advocacy, service, and sisterhood.
